It features farmer John Gargan who uses mulch created from his mixed species cover crops on his cash crops. Within a year of adopting this practice, John's organic matter has increased substantially.
More than 120 people attended the two-day Soil to Food Conference in Atherton in June 2023. Focused on soil health, farmers listened to a range of speakers, including local and national farmers who are transitioning to regenerative agriculture practices to build healthy soils, healthy people and healthy profits
